Group Management

Custom Groups

We're excited to introduce our new Custom Group Management feature, the first step in enhancing our customers' ability to manage users more effectively. This addition allows for the creation of groups and the seamless addition of members into these groups.

SCIM Integration with Microsoft Entra & OKTA - Coming soon!

Soon, customers will be able to automatically sync using SCIM groups from their platforms through our integration with Okta and Microsoft Entra SCIM.

Key Feature: Group Assignment & Support Metaphor admins can now assign groups as Contacts for streamlined support to Data consumers, who can also request support from entire groups.

Key Feature: Group Mentions in Posts Easily include a group in your conversation by '@' mentioning them in Social Posts—every member will be notified.* *(Notifications coming soon!)

Finding Stale Assets

We've introduced new advanced search operators to quickly pinpoint stale dataset assets, enabling you to:

• Search for datasets not queried or refreshed since a specific date or number of days.
• Find datasets created before a certain date or time period.

These operators can be combined for precise searches, streamlining the process of identifying and updating outdated assets.

Asset Page Improvements

Introducing a new Asset Page improvement: the Dynamic Side Panel. Now, with just a click, you can effortlessly collapse or expand the side panel to tailor your page view. This is available for all Asset pages and Document pages.

DataHub Migration Crawler

For customers who may have tried to host their own instance of DataHub or using a hosted service and come to the conclusion that

- DataHub is a tool designed for the highly technical persona,
- the complexity and/or the TCO of running the service themselves is untenable,
- or the Security vulnerabilities will not pass the security review process, 

the DataHub Crawler will automatically pull metadata from that platform into Metaphor.
